Kirk Hankla - President

For over 25 years Kirk has been involved in real estate development, realty, agriculture and mortgage finance. Since 1987 he has been the President and Owner of International City Mortgage, a Mortgage Banking operation based in Anaheim Hills, CA specializing in FHA purchase transactions.  Kirk is also the the President and partial Owner of Coldwell Banker franchises in Nicaragua and Belize.  Kirk received his Business Administration degree from The College of William and Mary, enjoys spending time with family, traveling and playing golf.

Farrell Facey - CEO

Farrell was born and raised in New York, where he graduated from the State University of New York, Plattsburgh with a B.S. in Business Administration / Management. Upon graduation, he obtained a position in the Wall Street area at Dun & Bradstreet International, where he was promoted to a supervisory position as IT Systems Coordinator. After several years, he ventured over to Credit Suisse First Boston, and was promoted to Project Leader/Technical Support Specialist.

Moving to California, Farrell was hired by Security Pacific Bank, advancing to AVP/Manager of Customer Service and Operations for their Automated Clearing House (ACH) for over 2000 corporate customers. Shortly thereafter, he transitioned over to AVP/Operations Manager for the Bank’s 350+ wholesale Credit Union account relationships.

Entering the mortgage industry in 1991, Farrell worked for First Franklin Financial doing inside sales, underwriting and as an Account Executive. Transitioning to Countrywide’s Wholesale Division, he was an Account Manager, before being promoted to Assistant Branch Manager/Operations Manager.

In 1998, Farrell started as a loan officer with International City Mortgage, where he now serves as Chief Executive Officer.

 

Cory Hjelmeir - VP Production

Cory was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from Santa Clara University Leavy School of Business with a degree in Finance. Upon graduation he was recruited into the highly selective Associate Development Program at Countrywide Financial Corp. After intensive mortgage banking training he was promoted to Account Executive at Bank of America Correspondent Lending. In that role, Cory was largely responsible for the entire client experience from account management, targeted pricing, competitive intelligence. loan acquisition, product diversification, concentration risk, loan repurchase mitigation, warehouse lending, volume incentives, initial credit due diligence, customer service, business development and revenue.

From Bank of America, Cory joined the Sr. Management Team at International City Mortgage as Vice President of Production with responsibilities over business development, marketing, recruitment, loan production, risk mitigation, client and investor relations. Additional experiences encompass real estate development and UK based PIPE financing.

Cory lives in Corona del Mar and enjoys playing golf, volunteering for the MS Society and spending time with family and friends.

 

Kristi Evans - VP Operations

Kristi is the Vice President of Operations with International City Mortgage. Kristi has work for the organization since September 2000. She manages the entire team of operations from loan openers, underwriters and junior underwriters to funders and post closers. Kristi has extensive knowledge with FHA, Conventional, VA, CalSTRS and CalHFA. She is also responsible for ensuring that the ops team is up to date with guideline changes, regulatory changes and any mortgage industry change as it relates to the home loan transaction. Kristi is involved with designing and implementing training programs for the corporate ops teams as well the branch processors. Kristi has worked within the mortgage industry since 1986 processing and underwriting loans as well as managing a team of employees.

Kristi received her Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in 2005 and also her Master of Science degree from Chapman University 2008. Her graduate studies concentrated in human resource management which provides an added advantage in managing the operations team with International City Mortgage. She is truly dedicated to employee development. In Kristi’s spare time she enjoys singing, dancing and acting in community theatre. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Additionally, Kristi is actively involved in supporting her local community through housing assistance programs.

 

Brent Williams - CIO

Brent serves as Chief Information Officer for International City Mortgage after joining the team in October 2010. He brings a successful track record in management and maintenance of IT operations, MIS, systems development, critical implementations, and strategic planning, with over 14 years of mortgage technology experience. He first served as Network Administrator for Equity 1 Lenders Group starting in 1996, and then as IT Director for them until the end of 2008. He also brings with him the additional talents of website design, SEO/SEM, and creative input for ad campaigns to compliment our marketing efforts.

Brent received his Master’s Degree in Information Systems from Coleman College in 1998, and his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from San Diego State University in 1988. He is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association, loves spending time with his family, and enjoys coaching baseball and playing golf.

 

Don Masula - Controller

Don Masula graduated with a bachelors of science degree in business administration emphasis in accounting. He began his mortgage banking accounting career in 2003 and has worked for multiple mortgage lenders in a financial capacity of manager & controller. In 2009, Don earned his enrolled agents license to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.

In August of 2009 Don joined the Sr. Management Team at International City Mortgage, Inc. as Controller responsible for the all accounting, payroll, and human resource operations within the company.

His personal interests consist of watching and playing sports. Don enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. Member of NATP.
